There is no woman who is a mother by nature.
Each mother has her own stories.
Do you know what the mothers feel and think?
To show you an answer, we put together the
voices of forty five new mothers in one documentary
film.
Two years ago, Yukie Tsukada, a mother of
a four year old boy came up with the idea
to create a documentary film featuring on
her own experiences of fears and anxiety
concerning childbirth and childcare. If this
was not recorded, she was afraid that she
would forget all her feelings that she encountered
along with the happiness of having a child.
She created this film with special members
of the NPO Kosodate Combini presently raising
small children. Film creation was a great
adventure for a small NPO. After overcoming
many difficulties such as fund raising for
this project, they succeeded to put together
the voices of forty five new mothers in one
documentary film with the cooperation of
Hideto Sonoda, the film director. Hiroyuki
Nagashima directed the music.
Many of the major Japanese newspapers picked
up "bloom ~ I was born". The Yomiuri
Shimbun holding the largest circulation in
Japan featured the film along with "Premier
cri", a French documentary film released
at the same time.
The voices of the mothers from Mitaka, a
small city in the suburbs of Tokyo, was nothing
special, their thoughts are common representing
the young mothers worldwide.
The actual stories recorded in "bloom"
concerns their progress of growth by experiencing
human childbirth and childcare. Their heartwarming
stories lively told inspires the viewers.
Societies full of happiness for the mothers
is accordingly full of love and peace.
